Everyday Life!

Well its been a while since I've posted anything. So I figured I should put something down on here. I'm just in Rexburg going to school right now. Things are good. They seem to be going by fast, but at the same time very slow! School has been in for about 6 weeks now, mid-terms are next week, so we are just about half way through the semester.

My dad's birthday was on the 16th of this month, so this past weekend I went home to visit and celebrate it with him. I had so much fun. I love going home to visit. I love seeing and spending time with my family. It was a great break, but it was also kinda bad cause I didn't want to come back to school! But I did, and its all good.

Last bit of excitement. In exactly 30 days I am flying out to Virginia with my best friend Michelle to spend Thanksgiving with my older sisters Crystal and Camille and their families. I am so super excited! I just can't wait! My older sister, Crystal, moved to Virginia in July for her husband to go to medical school and my older sister, Camille, is still in Indiana where her husband is going to Optometry school. Camille lives 8 hours from Crystal so they will drive down to Crystal's for Thanksgiving. And the weekend after Thanksgiving, like Friday and Saturday, we are all going to go to Washington DC! I'm way excited for that! Crystal only lives 4 hours from there. I will get to spend a total of 10 days with them. Oh and did I mention that I'm flying out to Virginia on November 20th? Which you all should know, is my Birthday. My 22nd birthday will consist of flying across the country for 7 hours and then another 4 hour drive from the airport to my sisters house. It will be a long day, but totally worth it. So one more time, I'm super excited!!! 30 days, 30 days, 30 days! I can't wait to see my nieces and nephews! Oh and of course my sisters and wonderful brother-in-laws! : ) Love you guys!

Also, while I'm posting I might as well add some pictures I never got around to putting up before. When I went home in August for our country fair, my family and 2 of my uncles families went up hiking down by the Utah/Arizona border. It was a lot of fun. We had a great time. Here are just a few pictures.

Shish kabob Party

For my friend David's birthday we had a shish kabob party. It was kinda an end of summer semester party too. It was so much fun. We had all of the ingredients for the kabobs out and we got to choose what we wanted on them and then we put what kind of dressing we wanted. Then we grilled them up!

Cruise Pictures

Okay so I finally decided to put up some pictures from the cruise I took to Ensenada in November for my 21st birthday. There are a lot of them! Have fun :)

These are our bird friends. While we were still docked in Mexico we were eating a late lunch on the deck and we started throwing food to the birds. A ton of them showed up, like 30 to 50 birds. It was so cool!

And this is the end of our fantastic cruise. We had to get up at like 5:30 am to be off the ship by like 7. It was crazy. And as you can see we look a little tired.
We all had so much fun together. It was a blast and I'm so glad we got to do it.

Home trip

I went home a couple weeks ago for my older sisters baby's blessing. Camille and Erik flew out from Indiana and spent a week with his family in Idaho. Then I drove them down to Hurricane to bless baby Rylee in my home ward. It was so much fun spending time with them, especially my nephew McKoy and new niece Rylee. Camille had Rylee Camille Thompson on February 10th. She is adorable. My niece Kayli had so much fun playing with her cousin McKoy. They were so cute together, fighting half the time, but loving being together. I don't have any family pictures from the weekend, but I did get some friend pictures that my friend Brooke took from when we were hanging out. I will get some pictures from my sisters of my weekend with the family. We went over to Tasha's and played on her trampoline and played good ol' tetherball. It was a lot of fun. Just like old times. It was me, Brooke, Toni, Tasha (obviously cause we were at her house), Wes and his friend Troy.

I am still going to school at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg Idaho and will be living up here pretty much permanently until I graduate, which won't be for like another 2 years. I am loving it here. My roommates are great, school keeps me busy, and I really love my job of working on campus at the library.

Lagoon trip October 2008

For Frightmare at Lagoon in October Me, Tasha, Brooke, and Sherrel decided to drive up and my cousin Chelsey drove down Ogden and we all went together. We had lots of fun!

Okay so at Lagoon there is this ride that you have to pay extra to ride on. Its called the Sky Coaster and its the big tall Missiour monument looking thing. Its the big arch that you can see from the freeway. I went on Lagoon's website and copied the infor about it just so you can get a little feel for what I went on. :)

This is a picture I found on the internet of the Sky Coaster. At the very top of the arch there are little pole looking things sticking out on each side, thats where they pull you up to and then you get to pull the string to send yourself straight to the ground.

Sky Coaster: The attraction offers all the thrills and excitement of skydiving and hang gliding. The attraction operates by putting the participant in a full body harness (usually referred to as a flight suit), that supports the flyer (from one to three at a time), in a prone position. The harness is then connected to the flight support cables. From a static point approximately 6 feet above the ground, the flyers are then pulled aloft by a launch cable to nearly the top of the launch tower. At this point the flyers are approximately 143 feet above the ground with the flight cables taut and the flight is ready to begin. Upon being given the signal, the flyers pull the rip cord, releasing them from the launch cable and rapidly swing towards the ground at speeds reaching up to 80 mph. The overall feeling is similar to that of swooping along the ground in a hang glider, or that of skydiving.

This is Tasha and Sherrel in the Catapult. They strap you in this ball thing and then shoot you well over 200 feet in the air. This ride also cost extra. They had tons of fun on it.
