Lagoon trip October 2008

For Frightmare at Lagoon in October Me, Tasha, Brooke, and Sherrel decided to drive up and my cousin Chelsey drove down Ogden and we all went together. We had lots of fun!
Me and Tasha getting ready to go on the White Rollercoaster. It is by far our favorite one. It just never gets old.

Chelsey, Sherrel, and me on the Boat ride that goes back and forth. It was lots of fun. The screaming war is probably one of the funnest parts of the ride.

Sherrel, Brooke, and me getting ready to ride on the ski lift across the whole park. It was a long line.

Okay so at Lagoon there is this ride that you have to pay extra to ride on. Its called the Sky Coaster and its the big tall Missiour monument looking thing. Its the big arch that you can see from the freeway. I went on Lagoon's website and copied the infor about it just so you can get a little feel for what I went on. :)

This is a picture I found on the internet of the Sky Coaster. At the very top of the arch there are little pole looking things sticking out on each side, thats where they pull you up to and then you get to pull the string to send yourself straight to the ground.

Sky Coaster: The attraction offers all the thrills and excitement of skydiving and hang gliding. The attraction operates by putting the participant in a full body harness (usually referred to as a flight suit), that supports the flyer (from one to three at a time), in a prone position. The harness is then connected to the flight support cables. From a static point approximately 6 feet above the ground, the flyers are then pulled aloft by a launch cable to nearly the top of the launch tower. At this point the flyers are approximately 143 feet above the ground with the flight cables taut and the flight is ready to begin. Upon being given the signal, the flyers pull the rip cord, releasing them from the launch cable and rapidly swing towards the ground at speeds reaching up to 80 mph. The overall feeling is similar to that of swooping along the ground in a hang glider, or that of skydiving.
Me and Chelsey standing in line waiting to be hooked.

Me and Chelsey flying through the air. I love this picture except for the fact that Chelsey's arm is right over my face. :)

Another one of me and Chelsey flying through the air. It really was so much fun. I would gladly pay the $15 extra to do it again. It was totally scary, like seriously, but I loved it! :)

This is Tasha and Sherrel flying through the air after us.

This is Tasha and Sherrel in the Catapult. They strap you in this ball thing and then shoot you well over 200 feet in the air. This ride also cost extra. They had tons of fun on it.

Tasha and Sherrel well over 200 feet in the air.

This is me in the gift shops, they have some fun little hats. This is one of them.

We really had tons of fun and we can't wait to go back next year!

Piercing mine and Crystal's ears

This is me freaking out about getting my ears pierced, I think I did a pretty good job of hiding the fact that I was scared, but to be quite honest... I was a little scared!

Me signing my life away so when I die from getting my eyes pierced I can't sew them.

Getting the first ear pierced...! yes it hurt a little bit, not as much as I thought it would though.
My pretty ear all pierced!

Getting the 2nd ear pierced... this one hurt so much more! I don't know why, but it did. The lady said it usually does on everyone.

My 2nd ear all blinged up.

Me with my ears pierced! Even though you can't really see them.

Crystal was totally freaking out. She was really scared about it. Sorry for putting these up Crys. :)

Crystal calmed down a little bit... just a little.

And now Crystal signing away her life. And sad sad things, the camera died! So these are all we got.

Hiking in Zion Pictures

Ashley Sullivan and I on the bus headed up the canyon to go hiking in Observation Point. Ashley is one of my best friends! I love this girl to death. Even though she did make me go hiking. :)

Us resting along the trail, we did this a lot.

Me in this cool rock seat. My shoes are off cause I couldn't climb up in it with them on.

Just the view behind us.
All of us that went hiking, Jason, Joe, Craig, Ashley, Me and Josh.

Update on the past 4 months of my life

Well my sisters keep bugging me (mainly Camille) to update my blog so I finally decided to do. Things have been kinda crazy for me this past semester. So I went up to to BYU-Idaho for the fall semester and ended up having to defer the semester because of some problems I have been having with my neck and shoulders from a car accident I got in 2 years ago. Well I came home to get that fixed and I'm doing much better now. So I have been living at home totally missing school. I do love it here, but I want to be back at school. I'm excited to be able to go back up on Jan 4th. I'm usually not in school during the winter semester, but since I took the fall off I decided to go up for winter and take some online classes and I will be working at the library on campus again. I love working there. Its a ton of fun.

Lagoon Trip
I really love Lagoon Amusement park in northern Utah and love going there with my friends. So a couple of us drove up and went. Me, Brooke, Tasha, and Sherrel all drove up together, then my cousin Chelsey met us there. And my friend Ashley drove down from Logan later that night to go to dinner and hang out with us. We drove up on Friday, went Lagooning all day Saturday, and drove back home on Sunday. I will put some pictures up. At Lagoon they have this one ride that you have to pay $15 extra for and they hook up in this harness type of thing and pull you like 200 feet in the air, then you have to pull the release and you go flying to the ground! Then you swing up and back. Its like flying through the air. Well we decided to do it! Me and Chelsey went together and Tasha and Sherrel went together. It was so scary! I was totally freaking out, but seriously loved it. It was so much fun, I recommend it. I will put pictures up of the trip soon.

Halloween
I love Halloween. I really do, its like one of my most favorite holidays and this year I drove up to Idaho to visit my roommates and spend the holiday with them. I made lots of yummy treats for the little party we had and I dressed up like a cat. It was fun fun fun. I sprayed my hair black and put black eye liner on my face for my nose and whiskers and when I was washing it all off I was totally covered in black, my whole neck (front and back), my face, hands, arms. The black hair spray just got all over. It was lots of fun, but I don't think I will ever spray my hair black again, too much work! I have pictures, just have to wait.

21st birthday cruise
I also turned 21 this year! That was fun and exciting. For my birthday me and 3 of my best friends from home Brooke, Tasha, and Michelle decided to go on a 3 day cruise to Ensenada Mexico. It was so much fun! We really had a blast. We drove down to L.A. together. So that was a long drive, but still fun. None of us have ever been on a Cruise so it was a totally new experience for us. And no it wasn't a big drinking fest for me, thats the question I kept getting while we were there and then they would find out we were from Utah and they figured out why it wasn't a drinking fest for me. I will definitely put up some pictures soon.

Ear piercing
So none of my family has their ears pierced. My parents never really wanted us to get them done and we never really cared so it wasn't a big deal. Well lately my sister Crystal and I have really been wanting to get them pierced, but we were really worried about what my dad would think and really didn't want to dissappoint him. We hate dissapointing my dad. Well one day Crystal and I were talking to my dad about it and come to find out... he doesn't even care! It was my mom that never wanted us to, so my dad just never said anything. Oh dad, made us think he didn't want us to. So Crystal and I have been thinking a lot about it and trying to decide if we should do it. Well we went to town on Saturday and we were trying to decide if we should do it. And I really wanted to so I'm trying to talk Crystal into it and she keeps backing out. So we call our sister Camille and she is like well if you wanna do it, just do it. So we go to the mall and we both have a $10 free anything at Maurices so we both buy earings and now we have to get them down, cause we already bought the earings. Well Crystal decides she really would like her husband Justin to be there with her when she gets them done, but I still want to do it. So we go to Claires and I'm totally starting to freak out and Crystal is freaking out cause I'm about to do it. I was really scared. Well after this long story... I got my ears pierced! Crystal had her camera and took pictures of the process, so I will get them from her and put them on here. I know lots of promise for pictures, but I will put them up. I do have one picture of me with my ear pierced that we took with the cell phone. So I will put that on here.

Hike in Zion
Well thats pretty much all for now. While I have been home, I've just been working at Curves for my mom. Thats really about it. Oh! I totally forgot something, I went hiking in Zion! And to some of you this may be no big deal, but if you know me at all, you will know that I do not hike. Really no joke. So this was a big thing for me. I had a lot of fun. It was hard and tiring cause it was a long hike, I think it was Observation Point, I believe that is the name. Well I did it! It was fun. I have pictures of that too. I just need to get them all.

Whats next!
Well that is the update of me. Christmas is in 3 days, my sister Camille, her husband Erik, and my darling nephew McKoy will be here in 5 days, and I leave for school in less than 2 weeks. Those are the exciting things I am waiting for right now. Can't wait for all of them! Especially seeing Camille and the fam. I totally miss them. They are taking forever to get here. Okay thats all for now. Will put up pictures soon. Hope you are happy Camille!! :)

Permed Hair!

Well I once again decided to change my hair. I permed it! No, its not all afro like! Its a soft perm. Just adds a little curl. I like it, but am still trying to figure out the best way to style it. Any suggestions? Tell me what you think!

Peach Days at home

These are just a few pictures I stole from Crystal's page. Peach Days was the last weekend in September. For those of you that don't know what it is, its kinda like a mini county fair. We have booths, food, games, small rides, a parade, all kinds of small fun things. Its been going on forever! We love to go to it every year

My parents bought Curves last year so we were in the parade and had a booth. The parade was lots of fun. A little embarrassing and tiring cause we had to work out on the same machine for a long time and it was hot outside. But people cheered for us so it was fun.

My little sister Kayla and my niece Kayli playing on the side.

My brother-in-law Justin and little sister Kayla boxing.
